PAINT PARTY: Kids make Christmas masterpieces at Tupper

first_img Latest Stories “It was fun and interesting to watch the moms and kids working together,” Lampley said. “That was the idea behind Tupper’s Paint Party. We wanted to kick of the Christmas season in a fun and creative way and a paint party was a way to involve the kids and their parents. Painting was something they could do together that would be enjoyable and also would be a way for the parents and kids to communicate in a different way. The hope was that the parents would let the kids be creative and help but not take over.”Laurie Nicholson said she and her son, Jude, had a wonderful time together.“The thought of giving paint to a kid sitting next to me at home was stressful,” Nicholson said, with a smile. “But it was not that way at all. Jude’s painting didn’t have to be any certain way. I just wanted it to be his. I loved watching Jude create his own little masterpiece and it was important to him that I said he was good at it. We had a good time together.”Lampley said all of the young painters created what will become treasures of togetherness, the kid and his or her mom or another special person in their lives.
