first_imgWe hope that today’s “IS IT TRUE” will provoke honest and open dialogue concerning issues that we, as responsible citizens of this community, need to address in a rational and responsible way?IS IT TRUE yesterday City Councilman and Finance Chairmen Jonathan Weaver announced that members of the local Teamsters told him and other Council members they are in negotiations with the Winnecke Administration to receive 2% raise in this calendar year?IS IT TRUE during the 2018 budget hearings City Council approved a 1% pay raise for all the public employees except members of the Fire and Police Departments who received a 2% increase?IS IT TRUE Councilmen and Finance Chairman Jonathan Weaver is upset because the Teamsters and the Mayor have been quietly negotiating a 2% salary increase for this budget year without his knowledge? …Mr. Weaver claim he hasn’t seen a copy of the proposed budget contract amendment that will allow the Mayor to give all the local Teamsters employed by the City a 2% pay increase this year?IS IT TRUE we find it  extremely interesting that the Finance Chairmen and City Councilman is publicly asking “where’s the transparency?” …ever since Mr. Weaver has been severing on City Council been asking him and his sidekick Missy Mosby “where’s the transparency?”  …we consider this to be a developing story?IS IT TRUE all we can say to Mr. Weaver is that “taxpayers are getting sick and tired of the political promises and games of elected and appointed officials”?IS IT TRUE a CCO reader sent this to us which we found interesting? …I  talked to a to a homeless man recently and asked him how he ended up this way?
